FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

- How do I make a purchase?

Shopping with us is easy. Simply find the items that you would like, select your size and click on ‘Add to Basket’. Review your shopping cart. You can use ‘remove’ to delete any items from your basket.

When you are ready to pay click on ‘Checkout’ and follow the on screen instructions. If you have any problems please email us at amelie@amelieboutique.com. We will get back to you as soon as we can.

- Do you deliver worldwide?

Yes we do. You can find the full list of countries we deliver to in the drop down menu at the checkout. If you cannot find your country in the list please email us at amelie@amelieboutique.com and we will let you know if it is a possibility.

Please note that buyers from outside of the EU do not need to pay the tax which is already included in our prices. The VAT of 20% will be deducted from your order at the checkout.

- How do I find a specific item?

If you know what you are looking for you can enter the shop section of the website where you can search for the product by item category or designer. Throughout the site there is also a ‘Search’ function which can be used to enter key words.

- How do I know if an item is in stock?

All items are in stock unless ‘Sold Out’ is displayed. If an item does not show in a specific size in the drop-down menu, this means the item is no longer available in that size. Please be aware that even if an item is in your shopping cart, it can still be bought by someone else until you have fully completed your order.

If you are interested in an item which is out of stock please contact us on amelie@amelieboutique.com and we can let you know if it has been re-ordered.

- What is a PRE-ORDER?

Sometimes we may have items available for sale which are not yet in stock in our store. In these cases 'pre-order' will be clearly stated on the item page. If you purchase a pre-order item payment will be taken at the time you place the order. We will keep you updated with details of the delivery date and will ship the order to you as soon as the item arrives in store.

- What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Delta, Electron, Solo, Maestro and American Express debit and credit cards. We also accept payment through PayPal. All transactions are shown and charged in £ Sterling.

- Is it safe to use my credit card online at Amélie Boutique?

Your personal online security is important to us. Our site is as secure as it can be made. We do not hold any credit card information. We use Secure Trading to process payments. You can have a look at their security measures at www.securetrading.com/support/shopper-help.html.

- How will I know when you have received my order?

After you have placed your order you will receive an email confirming that it has been received. This does not mean that your order has been accepted. Only once your credit card details have been approved and your delivery address has been verified, will your order be accepted and shipped. You will receive another email from us confirming your order has been accepted and a third email once your order has been shipped.

In the unlikely event that any of your items are unavailable we will contact you by email and your payment will either not be processed or will be refunded.

- Can I track my order?

All orders will be shipped by Royal Mail and will require a signature on delivery. Items sent within the UK will be sent by Special Delivery. Items sent outside of the UK will be sent by the International Signed For service. Express shipping will be sent with a courier. - Is my personal information kept private?

Please be assured that all the information you share with us is private and confidential. At no point will we share, rent or sell your personal information without your consent.

To register at Amélie Boutique, we will need to know your name, mailing address and email address. We may use these details to inform you of new items and services by email. If you do not wish to receive such emails, please send us an email message to amelie@amelieboutique.com. To process credit card orders online we also require your billing address, shipping address, telephone number, credit card number and expiration date.

- What is Amélie Boutique?!

Amélie Boutique is an online store that launched in November 2008. We aim to sell up and coming designers from all over the world. Clothes and accessories that have just enough of an edge that you may not be able to find elsewhere. The list of designers stocked is growing rapidly.

The illustrations mixed with the distinctive web design generate a fresh and unique browsing experience. 'Amélie', the character behind the store, is one dreamt up by owner Niina Poskiparta and has been brought to life by French illustrator Angéline Mélin. Poskiparta wanted a face to launch her online boutique, and came across Angéline’s work, which she immediately fell in love with.

Fashion enthusiasts can click on and see Amélie wearing outfits from the shop, all of which can be bought and delivered worldwide. You can take a look at all of Amélie's outfits here.

- Will Amélie Boutique have seasonal sales?

At Amélie Boutique we hold seasonal sales. Please note that we cannot guarantee that its prices will be equal to offline stores when they go on sale. Also, due to the exclusive nature of our stock, we can’t guarantee that an item will still be available for purchase late in the season.
